NIAID Blog About Restructuring of the Networks
NIAID DAIDS is now in the process of seeking input from the research and HIV/AIDS communities in regards to the restructuring of the HIV/AIDS clinical trials networks. As of yesterday, a series of blogs were posted on AIDS.gov that will address various aspects of the network restructuring, such as NIAID’s clinical research priority areas, the structure of the new networks, and the relationship between network leadership groups and clinical research sites. These blogs are intended to promote dialogue and discussion among constituents. Please feel free to share this information with people who may be interested in joining the discussion.

It is important to be aware of potential drug interactions with HIV medications while caring for patients on HAART and enrolled in clinical trials, particularly pharmacokinetic studies. Prohibited and precautionary medication drug lists are included in the research protocols or protocol MOPS.
